ABOUT US ...
Major Nikolai Son of Zarr
AKA - Nickel "The Pickle"
Located near Indianapolis, Indiana, we have been raising Dobermans for more than a decade and are committed to both our animals and their owners.
Our Dobies feature the American lines, which have sleek, lean lines and are taller when compared to the normally shorter and thicker looking German lines.
We aren’t a puppy mill, backyard breeder or a puppy broker. We take pride in every litter we produce, we care where our puppies go and we breed with the goal of producing healthy well-tempered Dobermans that will be a progressive addition to the breed.
Our pups are AKC registered with more than a dozen champions in their bloodlines, but we only mention the champions because of the amazing confirmation of our pups. Our Dobermans and puppies are also raised with and around children and cats in a family environment making them very sociable pets. We breed extremely intelligent and loving Dobermans with sweet temperaments who will defend and love their owners until the day they die.
Our Dobies live in our house, sleep in our beds, play with our children, and go for rides in our vehicles. They are not just our pets, they share our lives and are our best friends. While they are great companions - more importantly - they are members of our family.
BREED FACTS:
Dobermans are wonderful guardians, are extremely beautiful, powerful, elegant, and if you love them, they will protect you with their dying breath. You have never been loved, until you have been loved by a Doberman.
The Doberman originated from Germany and is a “man-made” dog. Herr Louis Dobermann developed this versatile breed to create a loyal, obedient and fiercely protective dog to accompany him on his nightly rounds as a tax collector. Taking all the best traits from several other guard type breeds, the Doberman was created.
Today’s Doberman is used in military and police fields, but they are wonderful family members as long as you remember to give them proper toys to chew, correct them by taking away things they should not chew (DO NOT SMACK THEM WITH YOUR HANDS) and give them LOTS of exercise ESPECIALLY if they are misbehaving.
*** If you have any questions about the breed in general, please don’t hesitate to contact us on our Facebook page. The link can be found at the top right of this page. We do not have any pups at this time, but we can answer your questions and try to help you.
